Edlanet'e (welcome in Dene) to AllanAdam.com.

My company Dene Hha Communications provides services in translation and interpretation in Dene, Cree and other First Nations languages and also as a skilled Dene First Nations cultural facilitator and instructor.  My services have been used by many organizations across Canada who require specialized translation/interpretation services in any language.

I currently live Air Ronge but conduct my business where my services are required.  I started this company 15 years ago to meet requests for professional translation and interpreting services by companies in the province.

I bring a wealth of experience in different disciplines such as radio broadcasting, professional interpreting, First Nations leadership and traditional lifestyle which I apply with understanding and integrity to all of my client's needs.  Please take a look around the web site to learn more about what I can offer your organisation.

Since April 2009, both my partner and myself I have been donating time to the First  Language Speaking Project Inc. hosted on this web site. This project began as a  partnership between myself and my partner, Cathy Wheaton. In July 2010 we incorporated as a non-profit organization with a board of directors that includes ourselves and Natalie Owl, the coordinator of the Regina Speaking Circle.

The organization has collaborated with numerous volunteer fluent speakers within  Saskatchewan and Manitoba asssist those who wish to learn to speak their languages.

This project has inspired many who are working at a grassroots level with language revitalization and making a difference in the community. Both Cathy and I are proud to be able to bring languages back to many people who wish to learn!

The Speaking Project's community volunteer's have contributed over 1000 MP3 audio recordings and over 500 videos in 3 dialects of Cree, Dene, Nakota, Saulteaux and Anishnaabemowin. During December 2010, the Speaking Project began developing new learning listening comprehensin resources utilizing animation and multi-media resources for vocabulary enhancement . Work continues to add other First Nation languages.

All of the website resources for language on this website have been made soley by volunteers and the project to date has not accessed any funding to do so.
